Report Details
The last couple days the action has been hot and heavy here in the Swan Creek area. Today there were several boats back in before noon with limits of great eater size walleyes. The majority of the fish being caught are from 14-17 in. If a person goes through enough you can wait out a bigger limit, but most everybody I talk to seem to be very happy with 16" fish with an occasional bigger one thrown in . Both crank baits and live bait seems to be working right now. Most of the fish are coming in 11-20fow. Lots of limits and some pretty good weather lately is leading up to a great tournament the second week of Aug. If your not in the SD walleye classic you only have until the 1st of August to sign up so please don't wait. We did pick up a few more entries this past week, so it looks to be a great tournament, but there is still room for more teams. If you are not a fishermen there are a ton of activities for everybody. Check out the web page at www.sdwalleyeclassic.com.
