Lake Oahe, Missouri River - Thursday, January 26, 2012

We did get out fishing the last few days here in the Akaska area and it is exactly what everyone has said it was.   Incredible.  We  have went different directions each time out and found success everytime.  Finding a few big fish mixed in with the good eaters each time out.  Tonights bite came shallower than the past three nights,  we were able to catch a good number of fish under 20 fow.  We did find some success on set lines, but the jig bite was great.   Lindy flying jigs worked really good, but it didn't seem to make much difference once the fish moved in.   We did get a couple catfish, some pike and a couple crappies mixed in.   We are up and running full steam with ice fishermen so please feel free to call or email for reservations.
