Lake Oahe, Missouri River - Thursday, May 27, 2010

Report Details
Today on Lake Oahe, the winds were anything but calm...however, the fishing was very good!  We have been fishing the past three days and have seen a steady increase in the bite.  Tuesday, we worked hard for very few fish...Wednesday was better, and today brought many walleyes.  The areas that seemed to have the most activity are the Bowdle beach area and the mouth of Swan Creek.  Most of the fish came in 5 to 12 fow on a bouncer with a plain hook and a minnow.  Some fish were caught pitching jigs and today in the wind, a bottom bouncer, spinner and crawler also worked very well.  All three boats had limits today and the fish varied in size from 16" to 26", most coming in that 19" range.
