Report Details
This past week has been very good in the Swan Creek area. Most groups are still bringing in good limits of walleyes along with a good number of northerns, catfish, crappies and small mouth bass. It does seem like the bite is a little tougher than it was a week ago, but still it would be hard to complain. I ran out tonight at 6 pm with another guy and we had our 8 walleyes in less than two hours. We let go 2 fish that were over 22 in. and kept a limit from 16 to 19in. The fish tonight were in 10 to 12 fow. and didn't seem to matter if you had on a spinner or a plain hook. The pike seem to really like the spinners right now. I have done some crappie fishing in the past couple weeks and it has been good for the most part. I seem to do better locating a group and then parking on them with a 1\16 oz fuzzy grub and a minnow. We normally catch a few walleyes and northerns mixed right in with the crappies. We are having Senior day tomorrow for the SD Walleye Classic so we should have a great day with some of the local Seniors from around the area. I will post some pics and a report on how the day went later in the week.
