Lake Oahe, Missouri River - Tuesday, June 8, 2010

Report Details
Fishing on Lake Oahe, over the past two days, has become even more consistent.  The bite is spread out and more and more boats are coming in with their limits.  One of the best things that I have seen happen to Lake Oahe this year, is the explosion of the crappie fishing.  We have started out the morning focusing on our walleye limit and spending the latter part of the afternoon focusing on the crappie bite.  We have been catching between 20 and 30 crappies a day.  The great thing is, the crappies are not alone....they are mixed right in with the walleyes, perch, northern pike and catfish.  We have had plenty of overs, but most of the walleyes being caught are between 17" and 19".   Most of the crappies are in the 12" to 14" range.  All of our fishing has been in 12 fow or less.  We still do have some openings for rooms and/or a guide for the month of June, so please free to contact us to make your reservation today!
