Report Details
This past week has had plenty of ups and downs on the ice.  It seems like the only pattern to the fish is that there hasn't been a pattern.  We have good days and feel like we have the fish dialed in, and the next day they are gone.  Earlier in the week we found a strong bite right here in Swan Creek.   That bite lasted two days and then the weather and the fishing went south.  We then moved to the sand bar both north and south and had a good night.   The fish were numerous and good sized.  The  next day very few and small.  Today we fished the west side, south of the Moreau and did very well.   Lots of small fish, but went through fish all day long and ended up with 16 nice ones.  Perch, white bass, small mouths, catfish and northerns have been mixed in with the eyes all week so that keeps the action fun.  Travel is better than a person might think after the last storm, but we are still driving vehicles as of today.  The snow is 12 inches or more but is fluffy and easy to drive through.  Most of the fish are in 22 to 32 fow and jigging spoons and lindy darters have been productive.   We had a cancellation for this weekend so there are rooms available.   Feel free to contact us at Oahewings.com
