Report Details
Today, although the winds were howling again here in the great plains of South Dakota, was a great day on the water.  Today was the "Senior Day" which is put on by the South Dakota Walleye Classic.  Eighteen volunteers took over 40 seniors from Walworth County and surrounding areas out on a beautiful, but blustery Lake Oahe!  The boats launched at Swan Creek around 9:30 this morning and even though the wind made fishing conditions difficult, fish were still caught.  The seniors and their guides toughed out the wind until just after noon and then all were invited to the wonderful Akaska Community Center for sandwiches, watermelon, salad and cake. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring less wind, so you guys can get out and enjoy the great fishing in the Swan Creek area!  Thank you to all of the volunteers who donated their time to make a senior smile!  Please feel free to check out some pics of some of the seniors and volunteers on our website www.oahewings.com
