Report Details
This morning the fishing was excellent! We had 14 quality walleyes before one o'clock....however, after that we worked pretty hard for our last two fish. This is a better bite than we had yesterday, but still many boats did well yesterday. The key is finding a pod of active fish. Yesterday, two guide boats caught some fish and today, three guide boats caught all of their fish! We had the most success in 14 to 16 fow, using bouncers and spinners, propellers, or plain hooks. We used all crawlers, but heard of some people also having success with leeches too. I am marking tons of fish, but again the key is finding those that are active. Today we found quite a few catfish mixed in with the walleyes, along with some perch, smallmouth bass and the crappies are still biting. Please feel free to email us at sschilling@venturecomm.net for a guide or any room reservations!
